VoIP

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Just imagine how fast technology can come up with different ways for better communication and easier access. The latest one that they serve is the VoIP or better known as the Voice over Internet Protocol. It may sound too technical for beginners but the function and usage of this is not that difficult to deal with.

The process of sending audio signals is thru analog and it streamlines them by converting it easily form to transmit. If analog or dedicated phone line or the usual residential phone lines that are made of fiber optics, while VoIP is more of sending the audio message into a data packet switching that doesn’t need to be convert back into analog that slows than the delivery of message and cause dead air. If you decide to use the VoIP, be sure to make a research and check all the providers in your area and ask them for better understanding. Communication is very important and it’s also important that you will use the best VoIP for better relay of your message.

gift ideas 101-olympus camera

Friday, October 12th, 2007

If you happen not to be a fan of Canon brands for your digital camera, my next option would go for Olympus. Have you seen their Olympus Stylus 770 SW? It is one of the most durable digital camera I have ever seen and according to some reviews; it really is since it has Shockproof, Waterproof, Freezeproof, crushproof and everything that will protect your Oylmpus digital camera.

Olympus Stylus 770 SW has a 7.1 mega pixel just like my choice for Canon Cameras. It has features like the image stabilizer, built in manometer, 2.5” hypercrystal LCD, 3x optical zoom and more. It comes in silver, white and in bronze. My choice would be the one and what I like most about its feature is that you can use it underwater. On some reviews, it says that it has a slow image processor that is not good for consistent shots. You have to bring extra battery though when using this often because the life span of its battery is not that good. Price for this camera is around $379.99.

Who wouldn’t want to receive Digital camera? This is a popular gift choice also this year especially for young adults who love collecting gadgets and collecting pictures. I just notice that ever since Myspace, Friendster, Facebook and all those network of friends site was born people has become a fan of taking pictures of them self and anything that want to share with other people. One of my choice for camera are Canon PowerShot SD850 IS or the IXUS 950 Digital Camera.

What I like about this Canon Powershot is its 8.0 mega pixel compare to other model, if some has 3x optical zoom this one has 4x zoom, image stabilizer, image processor with face detection and red-eye correction which is a must feature in camera with high pixels especially when you are using its flash. It’s very slim and easy to put in your pockets with its 2.5 inch pure color LCD with scratch resistant. After all the features I have written, I think I want to buy this right now.

Gift ideas 101- electric toys

Friday, October 12th, 2007

This post is not only applicable as a Christmas gift for kids. In fact, this is based on my experience when I helped my sister with her daughter’s 4th birthday last year. I was the one who assists her with the baby registry and most of the gifts she requested were electronic toys. I let them also register at a store with lots of Fisher Price toys that’s where my niece got her first bike which was the Fisher-Price Chatter Phone Ride On and up to now my niece is still using her first purse that I gave to her.

Other toys that you can get from that store are for your boys like the drag racing alarm clock, Chicco Smile Camera, Kitchen toys. They also have high-tech gadgets for kids that are very educational and fun. There were Compu Kidz Teach and Talk Laptop with over 20 activities for your little ones that includes spelling, and simple math games. At this age of mine, I still had a great time playing with this kind of laptop which is very cheap at $20-$50.

Gift ideas 101- RC cars

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

This next gift idea is about cars. Nope! Not cars again, this is not your any ordinary car because this one is a remote controlled car, helicopter, or plane. These remote control vehicles have been one of the top collector’s items from different ages. Price ranges for these collections are from $40-$100 per vehicle toys.

On the site given, I saw a very cool Fire truck remote control with water cannon that squirts water, there’s also a ladder that extends and rotates just like the real fire truck that we have. Price for this kind of fire truck is worth $40-$60. If you need a cheaper but cool remote control vehicle, I recommend the $13 Remote Control Caterpillar Dump Truck. With a push of button, you will see the functions as the real thing dump truck does. Other choices are helicopter, Car, Hover craft boat and more. Check out the site for more details and compare prices in different stores.

Gift ideas 101-laptop

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

If your budget is ready and the one you are eying to give a present is someone techie and will make use of a gadget in good ways, get a laptop for them this Christmas. My choice of laptop would be Mac Laptops or other Apple laptops. When my boyfriend and I were in Japan last summer, we were able to save few bucks to get the latest Mac Book Pro and every cent of it is all worth it.

We got ours at Tokyo Apple Store on the day it was released. Almost everyone was talking about it and gave a good review about this new gadget. I also saw one store in the metro that sells new Apple stuff at a lower price but when I get back to check on their items, I notice that most of the gadgets are pre-owned unlike before that they were all brand new. So always check the store where you plan to buy your Mac Book or laptops to be sure. Better yet, order online or check the Apple store near you.

Gift ideas 101- keyboard

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

After posting Gift ideas for music lovers, I decided to create another entry regarding musical instruments. I will tackle more this time with keyboards. Yamaha is the most popular brand when it comes to music instruments like keyboard. If your budget ranges from $100-$300, get a Yamaha PSR E403 61 Key Portable Keyboard. At a small price, you will get good sound, good knobs when you experiment with its tone, pitch and full size keys for better performance.

If you are not into Yamaha Keyboards, my second best option would be for Casio Keyboard. Prices for Casio ranges from $200- $400 depending on its type just like the Casio Wk 3300 76 Key Keyboard. Now you know why this is my 2nd best option because of its price but I’m telling you that the performance and features of Casio are the best. There are other brands that will fit your budget just like Korg Keyboard or other types of Yamaha that is from $100-$200 only. Before buying musical items, please the buying guide that is on their website for helpful tips.

priceless

It was a trip I made to Africa the one year that convinced me that a long overdue upgrade was in order. The defining moment was when the tour group spotted a leopard stalking an unsuspecting impala — I very silently removed my Canon S5 IS from its bulky pouch and took aim at the now very “soon to take action shot” It happened!!!!! Oh my lord, caught me so by surprise, but I clicked away regardless, hoping and praying that it would come out.

Well, to cut a long canon story short - it did not!!! Fortunately however, my girlfriend beside me had armed herself with a Canon Powershot and her picture was absolutely beautiful — a perfect “canon moment”(excuse the similarity). It was this moment which convinced me that these moments only come once in a lifetime — so on the way back through Duty Free, I spotted a Canon Powershot S5 IS Digital — one over my girlfriends. It was a great deal more expensive but as the saying goes — there are some moments in life that are “Priceless”.

protecting mails

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

My sister is moving by next week where the new place they have is near the business that they set up and will start operating by next week. The business involves all kinds of party. We have been receiving mails on how overwhelming they were with the parties we have produced for the customers. Some send their orders through email or snail mails. We barely check our email due to our hectic schedule, sometimes internet is down and we barely open our mail box for the same reason that sometimes mails got lost or stolen. Now that my sister will move out to a business slash residential house, they have been hunting for commercial or residential mailboxes that will secure their transaction orders with their clients. Here are some of the mailboxes I have search over the net for them, there’s a single, multi-unit, columns, etc.. I didn’t know there would be different types of mailbox, I promise to give her this as a gift for their house warming.

importance of shopping cart software

Friday, August 24th, 2007

As what I’ve mention on my previous post regarding the importance of merchant account to my online business, I’m considering one more software to add up for my expanding business. I just had a small talk with my partner on how I can earn more with my online business. So he recommend, I should start using shopping cart software on my shopping online website. And it’s not bad. I’m already on my 6th day of my free trial period and I like it. My earnings boost up, well not actually 100% but it made my customer come back because of its convenience. I got my software from Ashop. Its affordable, easy to install, I haven’t tried their customer support yet, but I believe they are available anytime, my friend discovered this also by just searching online, and I even got the design I prefer for my cart and my priority for my software is its security. So if you have the same business as mine that deals with buying online, don’t forget to include this on your list.
